Overview
A bare desk has no boundary on it. This draws one.
Eight hundred by four hundred millimetres marks out a working area and warms the two square feet your hands actually spend the day on. Two millimetres — enough to feel, not enough to notice.
An edge to work inside
Without a boundary the keyboard drifts and the mouse runs out of surface. The pad fixes both by simply being there.
Warm underhand
The surface takes the chill off a hard desk and gives very slightly under the wrist, which is the difference an eight-hour day notices.
Quieter than a bare desktop
It absorbs the click and the keyboard chatter that a hard surface throws straight back at you.
Materials
Fine-grain cork in a soft matte finish
Cut clean at the edge with no border or stitching to catch a sleeve. At 2 mm it lies close to the desk and reads as part of it rather than an object placed on top. The tone sits naturally against oak, walnut and painted steel, which is most of what a desk is made of.

The pad arrives rolled in a 420 mm tube and relaxes within about a day. Lay it face up under a book overnight to speed that along. At 370 g it stays put under normal typing and mousing, and it darkens very slightly with handling over time.
