Overview
Wood, oiled, not lacquered.
The finish is wood-wax oil, which sinks into the grain rather than sitting on top of it as a plastic film. It ages instead of chipping — and at 150 g it is the lightest stand we sell.
An oil finish, not a film
Lacquer sits on the surface and eventually chips. Oil goes into the grain, so wear shows as patina rather than damage.
