Overview
Charges the phone, holds everything else.
A leather-wrapped block with a 10 W induction face on the front and an open well behind it. The phone charges upright where you can read it; the keys, the pen and the earbuds go in the back.
Upright, not flat
A phone lying face-down on a pad is a phone you cannot see. Standing, it stays glanceable while it charges.
Two objects in one
The charging face and the storage well share a footprint of 197 by 94 millimetres, so the desk gains a place to put things rather than another gadget.
Leather over a solid core
Leather-wrapped MDF, so it has real mass and does not slide when you take the phone off one-handed.

The weight is the point. A light plastic housing travels across the desk every time you lift the phone off one-handed; a solid core wrapped in leather stays where you set it and reads as furniture rather than an accessory.
