Which finish is the pad?Black. The Blackline Upgrade is the black-on-black pairing, and the pad reverses to a plain contrasting face, so you still get two surfaces out of it.

The whole surface, in one decision.

Most desks are assembled one accessory at a time, and it shows — a pad in one black, a charger in another, nothing quite lining up. The Blackline Upgrade is the pair we would put on the desk ourselves, bought once, in one finish.

Black leather across the pad and wrapped around the post, so the desk reads as one surface rather than a run of separate purchases.

The surface

Eight hundred by four hundred, in leather

The pad sets the working footprint: a full-size keyboard, a mouse to the right, and margin either side. It is PU leather, not hide — we say so rather than calling it vegan leather and hoping you do not ask — and it is finished on both faces, so it has a second life without taking a second slot on the desk.

The station

The phone stands where you can read it

A phone lying face-down on a pad is a phone you cannot see. The Charge Post holds it upright over a 10 W induction face, wrapped in the same leather and weighted with a solid MDF core, so it stays where you set it when you lift the phone off one-handed.

Behind the charging face is an open well for the things that leave your pockets at the end of the day — keys, a pen, a pair of earbuds. It is why the pair replaces three objects on the desk rather than two.

One, at 10 W. Case compatibility varies. Remove thick, metal or card-holding cases before charging.

The upgrade is sold as a single item, so it is returned as one — both pieces, unused and in the original packaging, within 30 days of delivery.
